Post-Intensive French, Grade 6

Unit 1: Oral Communication

Speaking and listening in French in guided, authentic situations - asking for and providing information, comparing information, describing people and events, arguing for and against a topic, and narrating an event from one's own life. This is the spine of the Post-Intensive year: oral fluency and accuracy come first, with reading and writing integrated to support it.

Unit 2: Reading and Viewing

Reading, interpreting, and viewing French texts - getting to know the structure of an informative text, comprehending short texts on unfamiliar topics in guided situations, and responding to simple representations and media in the school context. Reading supports the oral work of the unit.

Unit 3: Writing and Representing
