Each province has its own curriculum, so each one has its own workbooks. Nothing here is a national average.

The idea
What a Course Companion actually does
It takes the course your child is already sitting in and turns it into something you can both see.
Every outcome the province publishes is printed in plain language, unit by unit. Beside each skill there's a small confidence tracker they fill in twice — once before the unit, once after — so the shaky parts surface early, while there's still time to do something about them.
The rest of the book is the human part: reflections in their handwriting, a page for parent-teacher night, a mid-year check-in, a year in review, and a certificate at the end. Families tell us it stops being a study aid somewhere around March and starts being a keepsake.
Marked once before the unit and once after. The rows that barely move are the conversation to have in October, not in June.
What you get
Ten tools for one course, in one book
Each part feeds the next, which is why they come bound together rather than as loose worksheets.
- 01 Curriculum checklist Every outcome the province publishes for that course, in the government's own wording, as rows you can tick.
- 02 Skills tracker A confidence rating on every skill, marked once before the unit and once after, so the shaky parts surface early.
- 03 Unit reflections What got easier, what they're proud of, what the hardest part was — in their own handwriting, at the end of each unit.
- 04 Goals and about me A first-week starter: what they want out of the year, and how they'd describe themselves as a student.
- 05 Parent dashboard The whole year, month by month, on pages built for you rather than for them. No grades required.
- 06 Conference pages The questions worth asking at parent-teacher night, and room to write down what you actually agreed.
- 07 Mid-year check-in A proper look at January: what's working, what isn't, and a plan for the half that's left.
- 08 How I learn best A study-habits inventory that turns "just focus" into something specific enough to act on.
- 09 Portfolio record Each outcome in its exact published wording with a place to date it — what a homeschool review asks you to produce.
- 10 Certificate Printed with the course name and their name, for the end of June. Most of them end up on a fridge.
Price
The whole year, $2.99 a book
Most families buy one workbook per subject. Five or more in a single order drops every one of them — they don't have to match grades or provinces, so two kids in different years still get the price.

Questions
Common questions
What do I get, and how fast?
A fillable PDF per course, delivered the moment you pay. The links show on screen and land in your email. Nothing ships.
Do I need a MapleMind account?
No. Checkout only needs an email address so we know where to send the files.
Can I use these for a homeschool portfolio?
That's one of the most common reasons people buy them. Each outcome is printed with the curriculum's wording and a place to date it, which is exactly what a portfolio review asks you to produce.
What if it isn't right for us?
