For Community Organizations

Free tutoring for the families you already serve.

MapleMind is a Canadian AI tutor for K–12 students, in 14 languages. This summer we're partnering with Edmonton non-profits to give the students you support full access — free, no catch, ready for the school year.

Partner with us How the pilot works

How does the MapleMind community pilot work?

We give your organization a set of free, full-access tutoring accounts to hand to the families you serve. We handle the setup and train your staff; you decide who receives them. It runs on any phone — or free in any browser at app.trymaplemind.ca — in 14 languages, and it's built to teach — it walks a student through the thinking instead of doing the homework for them. There's no cost to your organization and no long-term commitment.

The gap we close

The kids who need the most help are the least likely to get it.

The families you work with face the same three barriers again and again. MapleMind was built to take all three off the table.

Cost

Private tutoring runs $20–80 an hour. For families getting by on less, steady one-on-one help is simply out of reach. MapleMind is free to use every day.

Language

Newcomer parents often can't find help in a language they understand. MapleMind works in 14 languages — the app and the tutor's explanations both.

Capacity

Bigger classes leave teachers less time for any one student. MapleMind gives every kid one-on-one support outside of class hours.

How the pilot works

We do the setup. You reach the families.

Three simple pieces. We handle the technical side so your team can focus on the people.

Full-access accounts

We create the agreed number of fully unlocked accounts and hand you the logins to distribute. Families set their own password the first time they sign in.

Staff training + a direct line

We train your team on the app, and give your staff and families a direct channel to reach us whenever they need a hand.

Improvements from real use

We sit down with families at your space, listen to what's missing, and build it. Your community's feedback directly shapes the product.

The terms, plainly

No cost. No catch. No contract.

Completely free

No cost to your organization, and no cost to the families — at any stage.

No minimum size

Any number of students. You set the scale that fits your community.

You set the length

A typical pilot runs about three months, and it's easy to extend.

No contract

No long-term commitment. You can end the pilot at any time, no questions asked.

Safe by design

Built for kids, and careful with their data.

Teaches, doesn't cheat

Guided Mode walks students through the reasoning and works a different example instead of doing the assigned question — and it's locked behind a parent's password.

Private and Canadian

Built in Canada and PIPEDA-compliant. No ads, and we never sell personal information. Students under 13 need verified parental consent.

Safe and on task

Inappropriate requests are blocked and flagged, and off-topic chats are gently steered back to the schoolwork.

Let's put a tutor in every kid's pocket — starting with yours.

A tutor in the family's own language, that teaches instead of just handing over answers, free for the students who'd never otherwise get one.

If that's the difference you're trying to make for the families you serve, that's exactly who we built this for.

What we ask of your organization

Just two things. Help us get the accounts to the families who'd benefit most, and — if you're open to it — let us visit for a short Q&A session with families at your space, so we can support them directly and learn what to build next. That's it. We handle the rest.

Common questions

Questions organizations ask first

Yes. The pilot is free for your organization and free for the families. There's no cost at any stage and no contract — you can end it at any time.

Just a phone. MapleMind runs on any iPhone or Android device, and it works in 14 languages — both the app and the AI tutor's explanations.

MapleMind is built in Canada and PIPEDA-compliant. Students under 13 require verified parental consent before using AI features, and we never sell personal data or run ads.

Nothing abrupt. Families who want to keep going can move their account onto their own email and continue on the free plan — their progress carries over.

As many as you like — you set the number. A typical first cohort is anywhere from a handful of students to a hundred or more.
